Through God’s love we learn together, grow together and achieve together.

Well this half-term is certainly flying by!  It is hard to believe that we have already reached week 12.

The children have worked so incredibly hard during this time, and I was very impressed with their work ethic this week during our Superhero Awareness Training.  This was an opportunity for them to show off how much they have learnt this term.  Everyone in our class has amazing progress; and I am very proud of them all.  We worked on our reading, writing, mathematics and spelling.   They understood that our S.A.T is a way for me to understand any gaps that they may in their learning, so I can teach them.

In English, we have been continuing our poetry unit.  It has been lovely to listen to new poems each day and use them to inspire our own poetry writing.  If the children have any at home that they would like to bring to school to share - they are very welcome to.

This week we were very pleased to welcome Father Bernard to Year 2 for our class prayer service.  It was a beautiful opportunity to reflect on why we prepare for Christmas during Advent.  We spoke about the traditions of our faith during this time.  Here is a copy of our presentation for you to see.

The children are continuing to learn the songs and their lines for our Key stage Nativity.  It is coming along nicely, but please do keep practising at home as well.
