Through God’s love we learn together, grow together and achieve together.

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you for all your feedback and for supporting the children to share their home learning via Teams. A selection of their work (sent via email or shared in the Class Notebook).

Today I will be sending out the link for group sessions tomorrow. You can also access your child’s group session by entering through your child’s Teams.

These are the highlights of today’s lessons:

Plan the build-up (Part 2) *

Session 87: Recognise quadrilaterals as polygons and identify their properties, and classify quadrilaterals. *

Guided Reading

Session 2 - Inference

Investigate /ee/ sound 'ie' or 'ei' spelling

The Eucharist is a Sacrifice (LF4)

Other Suggested Activities / Links

Note: * = if you have trouble downloading the Sway, please access the Oak/BBC/White Rose lesson while waiting.

In addition to these, please ask your child to practise daily the spellings, timetables and to keep reading the books they like.

The daily links for remote learning are uploaded as well to children’s Teams account. I can see the work they do or share in their notebooks. We will continue to send the daily links via email and also via our website page.

As this week we celebrate Kindness Week, here are the day’s suggested activities you might enjoy doing with your children:

  • Kindness Bookmarks. Cut cardstock into strips and decorate to your heart’s content with drawings, designs or your favourite quote.

  • Write down (maybe on a heart shaped piece of paper you can create yourself) the best qualities of each member of your family. Share all these with your family at the end of the day.

I am looking forward to receiving any work children would like to share about this topic.

As part of our Lenten journey, we gather as a community to pray the Stations of the Cross.

This is a way of reminding us of the difficult journey Jesus took.

We will continue to record and share the Stations in different ways this Lent.

This week a group of children have recorded their voices with the very moving images from CAFOD.

Do have a look at the sway here and take some time at home to pray the stations with us.

Kind regards,

Miss Gifford
