Summer - Friend or Foe?

Is it a bird is it a plane?! No, it’s the Reception Class Superheroes! During the first term the children will be becoming superheroes! From designing superhero costumes to going on superhero missions - it’s going to be a jam packed adventure of a half term! We’re going to be reading the ‘Supertato’ books to help inspire our reading and writing and will be writing in a variety of genres including comic strips! We’re also learning about heroes in our community through people who help us and will meet some of these important people too! In the second half of the term we will be learning about ‘The Seaside’. We will be comparing seaside holidays from then and now, writing post cards and learning about sea safety. We’ll research and investigate sea creatures. We will even be following maps and going on treasure hunts when we become pirates! This term we will also be going on a school trip to ‘360 Play!’
