Through God’s love we learn together, grow together and achieve together.

Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope that you and your families are well.  It was great seeing so many of you turn up yesterday to assembly.  I look forward to seeing you again next Thursday at 10.30.

Please find below the remote learning for today. Do also check the class page for examples of good work which shall be added throughout the week.

Don’t forget, I’m still reading the Christmasaurus and The Winter Witch which is getting really exciting!  So please come and have a listen!  Follow this link.

There are also the Lockdown lessons on BBC iPlayer.

Celebrity Lockdown Teacher  -  Kelis – Cookery  (This sounds great!  If you do this send a picture and I’ll pass them to Mr Kendal for the school Twitter feed)

Horrible Histories   (This is becoming my ”must see” watch every day)

Art Ninja   -    Day Of The Dream

Operation Ouch -  Get Your Body Moving

Here is this today’s learning:

I can draw lines of symmetry and the other half of symmetrical shapes.

I am learning about how to overcome disappointment with resilience.

The Great Elephant Chase

I can use synonyms confidently.

Discuss these questions with your family or write down your answers independently: What have you enjoyed this week? What have you learnt this week? What has challenged you this week?

Special Offer

We have been learning about penguins in Antarctica but what about penguins in South Africa? Watch the video on BBC Bitesize about the declining food supplies for South African penguins. Can you make your own model penguin?

I look forward to seeing the learning your children get up to.

Many thanks,

Mr Wix
