We have reached the final week of this half-term and what a start to Year 6 it has been! WE have thoroughly enjoyed all the learning we have done over the last 8 weeks.
We started the week by celebrating St Luke's Day, with a special mass led by Father Bernard. Year 6 were brilliant with leading the readings and prayers.
This week we got to finish our 'Hook with a book' class reader - War Horse! We have all absolutely loved reading this historical fiction story and used it to write our own stories.
In maths this week, we have been concentrating on short and long multiplication. We MUST remember to add a place-holder when multiplying by a tens number!!
We had a fabulous trip to Staple Tye library on Wednesday, where we got to look at the vast amount of fiction and non-fiction books that we could borrow. We look forward to going back next term! (Photos can be found in our photo gallery).
We ended our busy week with a fun afternoon creating pictures and Sways about stories from St Luke's Gospel, as part of our St Luke's Day celebrations.
