Our new phonics sounds are 

/zz/ as in buzz

/qu/ as in queen

/ch/ as in chick

In maths we have been exploring 2D shapes. We have learnt the names of Square, Rectangle, Circle, Triangle, Pentagon, and Hexagon. We found shapes all around the classroom and in the local environment. We noticed that the windows are rectangles and the tables are hexagons. 

We've also really enjoyed looking on Tapestry at old toys that belong to our parents and grandparents.
