Through God’s love we learn together, grow together and achieve together.

ASPIRATIONS WEEK!!

We had a fantastic week as we celebrated Aspirations Week!  We were lucky to have 3 different visitors: Jonathan, a university lecturer; Danielle, who works for Essex County Council; and Mrs Kabia, a psychiatric nurse.  We learnt so much about these different professions.

On Thursday we also had 'Take-Over Day' and had the opportunity to dress up in the costume of our dream job (take a look at the photos on our Gallery page!).

Pig Heart Boy | Centre for Literacy in Primary Education

In our English lessons this week, we have continued to focus on Narrative writing.  We looked at effective ways to end a story and discussed the importance of dialogue in moving the story on.  We have also continued to read Pig Heart Boy by Malorie Blackman.

In maths, we have been finding out about angles within triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons and octagons.  We have been using our knowledge to find missing angles of these shapes.
