In our English lessons we have continued to read our Hook with a Book 'Pig Heart Boy' by Malorie Blackman. We used the idea from this story to write a persuasive argument with the title 'Should animal organs be used for transplantations?' We ensured our writing used persuasive vocabulary, subjunctive form, rhetorical questions and statistics.
In our maths lessons this week, we have been focussing on 2D shapes. We have learnt about what angles inside a triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon and octagon add up to. We also learnt a lot about circles - we now know what a diameter, radius and circumference is! We got a chance to use a compass to draw accurate circles.
We had a FABULOUS Topic lesson this week! We made a model which represents the human heart. It was great fun (and a bit messy!). You can find pictures in our Photo Gallery on our Class Web Page.
