What a jam packed first week back! We have been working very hard this week in Year 4, starting our new recounts topic in English and learning about fractions in Maths. We have been reading The Vanishing Rainforest in English, and focussing on the themes in the book which link with our new topic; Planet in Peril. We have used this book to help us explore recounts. 

We have also started a new guided reading book; The Explorer by Katherine Rundell. We have been absolutely gripped by the start of the book and can't wait to see what happens to Fred and the gang!

In RE we have been learning about communities and what makes a community work.
