Week 6 W/C 7th December 2020
Year Two have had another a very busy week! This week was very exciting as we continued our preparations in Advent. The children enjoyed their Christmas dinner and Christmas Jumper Day on Wednesday. It was lovely to join them for this special meal. The children's manners were impeccable. We then finished our afternoon with some Christmas crafts and a Santa Dash!
In English, we have been writing a non-chronological report about the perentie Lizard from Australia. The children carried out research from a variety of sources to find facts about the perentie. Their non-chronological reports included an eye-catching heading; an introductory paragraph; sub-headings for each paragraph and it was written in present tense. You can find pictures of their work in the gallery below.
In maths, the children have been using their known number facts to add and subtract from 2-digit numbers.
In our Topic work we have continued our geography learning. The children explored aerial photographs to pin point key features in the local and wider area. The children then used the atlas books to locate the continents and oceans in our world.
