Through God’s love we learn together, grow together and achieve together.

This week the children had their classroom prayer service with Father Bernard.  They all had a special line to say as we prepare for Advent.

In English, the children have been learning how to write a non-chronological report.  They have explored different Australian animals and completed some research.  The children were very interested to learn about the perentie lizard who lives in  Australia.  The children are using this research to plan and write their non-chronological report.

In maths, we have been learning how to add and subtract 9, 10 and 11 from 2-digit numbers.  The children have been using their known number facts to support their learning.

As we continue with our 'Life Down Under' topic, the children have learnt about some of Australia's famous landmarks.  The children then created a cityscape of the Sydney Opera House.

In PSHE, we are continuing to celebrate our differences.  This week we thought of how we can use kind words to support our peers if they are feeling upset.  We reflected on different situations where people can judge others who are different from us and problem solved different scenarios.
