Through God’s love we learn together, grow together and achieve together.

This week the children have been very busy completing their calligrams.  Here is a presentation of their work with a voice recording of them reciting it to you.  We hope you enjoy them!  The children worked hard on the presentation of the shape poem by using a variety of materials to make the poem more effective to the reader.

This week we have had a visit from the local fire brigade.  The children learned how the fire brigade has changed from 1666 to present day.  They have come to realise how the events from the past have helped to make our lives safer.

In maths, we have been learning about time and 3D shapes.  We made 3D Tudor houses after we learnt about net shapes.  The children followed the instructions very well to complete this tricky task!

In history, we have been learning about timelines and learning to order events in time.  We sequenced a timeline of the events that took place during the great fire of London.  We have also been looking at objects from the past and comparing them to objects we use now.
