Through God’s love we learn together, grow together and achieve together.

Our CARITAS theme for this term is Common Good - We face challenges together.

During the first half-term of this topic, we will be learning about the North and South American continents, then moving on to Natural Disasters in these regions.  This will include volcanoes, earthquakes, tornadoes and wildfires.  We will find out what causes them and look at the impact they have on communities and the wider world.

During the second half-term we will be moving on to learn about the Ancient Maya Civilisation.  We will look at how and where they lived, plus find out about the discoveries they made!

Our science learning will focus on materials and their properties, moving on to states of matter.  In our D & T learning this term, we will be looking at what a cam mechanism is, and will design and make our own Maya-themed toy with a cam mechanism.
