This year as part of our World Book Day celebrations, we are launching a 'Readathon' to raise money for our school library.
Each child will have been given a sponsor form, which you can also find at the bottom of this page if you need a replacement, alternatively ask Miss Fisher (Y4) or the school office. The children have to set a target for how many books they can read in the month of March, staff will also be taking part so this is a perfect opportunity for the children to beat their teachers! Once they have set a target, the children must get as many people to sponsor them as possible (amounts do not have to be large, any sponsorship will be appreciated! If every child in the school was sponsored £2 we would raise nearly £400!). Then children must read, read, read! There is space on the back of their sponsor form to record the books they have read. Once the 'Readathon' is complete the children will start to collect the money they have raised.
Reading books that the children receive from school DO COUNT TOWARDS THEIR FINAL TOTAL!
There will be prizes for the most books read in Years 1&2, Years 3&4 and Years 5&6.
THANK YOU! You managed to raise over £400 for our school library! Keep you eyes peeled in the library for some brand new books! AND KEEP READING!
