School Council
At St. Luke’s Catholic Academy, the opinions of the children are an integral part of our core values. We want them to grow as independent free thinkers who can implement real change in our local community and beyond.
School council is a great way to give the children a chance to express and explore the execution and development of their own ideas through careful guidance.
The selection process provides a university style project-based application. Encouraging the children to demonstrate ‘why they should become a councillor,’ developing their delivery skills in a creative and confident manner.
Once the children have been chosen, they work on designing real events, engage with charity projects and design surveys to collect data from their peers which is confidentially assessed by staff.
