'The Day The Crayons Quit' reading afternoon
On Tuesday, to support our World Book Day celebrations, we held a 'come as your favourite crayon' day. The children dressed up in their favourite colour and produced some fantastic work based on the book we have been focussing on as a school; The Day The Crayons Quit.
In addition to this, we held a reading afternoon where children were able to take part in lots of reading based activities. These included making their own characters, creating comics, taking part in a book tasting, designing their own bookmarks, taking part in drama and creating picture books. The children, and staff, had a wonderful afternoon.

Peter Pan and Tinkerbell come to visit!
As part of our World Book Day celebrations there was an opportunity for the children to take part in a free Peter Pan story-telling workshop. The children absolutely loved the workshop which saw the story of Peter Pan being re-told through fun activities such as flying across London, hunting for fish in the Blue Lagoon and rescuing Tiger Lily from the hands of the evil Captain Hook and Mr. Smee!
