18.01.2021 - this week the children have been working very hard with their story openers and character description. Here are some pieces which had me at the edge of my seat:
Williams Wow Work - This is Samuel he thinks he is the richest kid in his town. He has one brother and one sister; they do not get on. Samuel likes to argue with them like cat and dog. He is the favourite even though he is the youngest of them all. He has long brown whispery hair which when he goes out sways like trees dancing in the wind, eyes as dark as a piece of coal. Samuel was always stylish with the clothes and shoes he wore and didn’t like anyone touching his stuff. He is very energetic and outgoing always looking for his next adventure around his town. One day he saw a mysterious looking creature following his every move. – William
Olivier's Oh My Goodness Opener - I was walking down the forest when a cold shivering feeling went down my spine. Then I saw a small house in front of me there were so many questions buzzing in my head like little bees trying to collect nectar like I am trying to collect answers. But I couldn’t stop myself. Why is it there? When did it appear? I didn’t see it yesterday? Why are the lights on in the middle of the night? I froze when I saw a black figure through the window. I saw it next to a pot and I saw some colourful fire coming out of it. I wiped my eyes it still was there I looked closer and… It was not a pot! It was a cauldron! I ran as fast as my legs could when I looked back I saw that the dark figure was staring at me.
Sanna's Super Story:
It wasn't too late at night only 7:30pm though the sky was pitch black, almost like vantablack. Three teens were going out for a walk in the woods, Jeff, Tobbi and Jack. You could say Tobbi was the third wheel, getting left alone, not being listened to when talking but Jeff and Jack were still kind to him.
•“Hey Jack haven´t you heard of that weird house in the middle of this forest?“ asked Jeff, while he kept on tapping Jack´s shoulder.
•“Yeah I´ve heard of it, what about it?“ replied Jack.
•“Did you not hear what I just said? I said its in the middle of this forest!„snapped Jeff.
•“Oh yeah sorry Jeff … „ mumbled Jack, scratching the back of his head.
•“Say…Tobbi, you´ve been awfully quiet this whole way here, don't you want to see the house?„ said Jeff, trying not to smile.
•Tobbi wasn´t used to talking since normally people wouldn't listen to his opinions or even to anything he says.
•“I mean s-sure if you two ok with th-that.„ stuttered Tobbi, trying to not look worried.
•It went silent for a few seconds, nobody talked, Jeff and Jack just stared at Tobbi…
•“Yeah I´m we´re with it, lets go to the house then.„ said Jack out of nowhere.
