We are running a ‘Book in a box’ competition as part of our World Book Day celebrations. Children are invited to think about a how a favourite book, could be represented in a simple box. There are some examples on this page to give you a bit of inspiration.
Any clean box can be used; a shoe box, cereal box, or another. You can put carefully chosen items to represent your book into your box, selected quotes from your book, perhaps even clues about its characters or setting.
Please make sure that any ‘Book in a box competition entries are clearly labelled with the book that is being represented, your child’s full name and year group.
All entries must be in school on the morning of Monday 4th March 2019 for judging. Winners will be announced on Thursday 7th March and the boxes will be available for viewing by the whole school as part of our World Book Day celebrations. Please give all entries to your child’s class teacher.
Each child will have been give a book in a box competition letter, which you can also find at the bottom of this page if you need a replacement, alternatively ask Miss Fisher (Y4) or the school office.
