Another busy week in Year 6!
On Wednesday we had a special Remembrance assembly to remember all the soldiers have have fought in wars and lost their lives. Year 6 read the famous poem 'In Flanders Field', which we shared with the school. We also had a 2 minutes silence.
On Friday we held a non-uniform day in order to raise money for Children in Need. We had lots of fun activities to mark this special day. We are so proud that the school raised £250 for this amazing charity.
In maths, we have learnt about adding and subtracting fractions, and finding percentages. It's been tricky but we all persevered!
In English we have continued our learning about explanation texts and wrote an explanation about evacuation during WW2..
We had a really exciting Topic lesson, which involved us trying to crack a secret code - just like Britons would have been doing during WW2. It was great fun! We all managed to crack the code in the end!
