Through God’s love we learn together, grow together and achieve together.

This week started with a day for us all to reflect on the life of Queen Elizabeth II - many of us watched her funeral on Monday, which was a Bank Holiday.

In English, we have continued reading 'War Horse,' Joey is now fully trained as an army horse, and has taken part in his first battle in France.  We have used some of this story to help is create our own magnificent descriptions of the trench life.

In maths, we had great fun!  We started to learn ALGEBRA!! We learnt that a letter represents a number.  For example: 17 + c = 50.  So c = 33.

We also learnt about BODMAS (Brackets, Order, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction).  It was quite challenging to begin with, but we all persevered and are beginning to get the hang of it!!

In RE, we read and discussed the Beattitudes (Matthew 5: 1-12).  We also discussed the passage from Ephesians 4: 26, where we are given guidance on how we can show love to one another.
