This week was EXTREMELY busy!

Archie's War : Williams, Marcia, Williams, Marcia: Amazon.co.uk: Books   In English, we continued reading our Hook with a Book - Archie's War.  We have started a new 'Narrative with flashbacks' topic - and look forward to writing our own short stories in the coming weeks!

In maths - we began learning algebra!  Although this was challenging, we all persevered, and we all began to understand the concept of using letters to represent a number.  Later in the week, we learnt about how brackets are used in calculations.  For example, 12 + (3 x 5) = 27.  You have to complete the part in brackets first!

Luba Lukova: Designing Justice | Poster Portfolio  Our Topic lessons continue to excite us.  We have learnt about ACTIVISM in art, linking this to propaganda.  We even attempted a first draft sketch of our own posters to represent 'No more war'.
