Through God’s love we learn together, grow together and achieve together.

This half term, Year 2 are learning all about Ocean Habitats. We are excited to learn all about the wonderful creatures that live in our oceans.

If you have any books, information or relevant objects, children are most welcome to bring these in to support our learning.

Find below a link to our HomeLearning activites. These are also stuck into your HomeLearning books.

Year 2 have been busy planning and writing their own fact file about their favourite sea creature. They have been using non-fiction books to research their animal and have been learning to include questions, exclamations and expanded noun phrases in their reports. We have used the documentary 'Blue Planet II' to help us learn lots of interesting information about the amazing world below the sea's surface.

The children have been busy sewing this term. They used felt fish shapes to sew a small fish cushion which went on our classroom display.

We were also lucky enough to have the starring roles in the Christmas production of the the Nativity, this term! We all did a fantastic job of learning our lines and acting out our parts on the stage in front of two sold out audiences! Thank you to all of the parents for their help with gathering costumes and coming to see our show!
