Wow!  What an extremely busy first week we have had!!

         We started our English Unit of work by looking at the first few pages of our Hook with a Book - Archie's War.  We are already intrigued by the book - and loving the illustrations!  

In maths, we have been revisiting our prior knowledge of place value of large numbers.  It was quite tricky - but we all got there in the end!

On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to go on a local walk to our local war memorial at Great Parndon.  This was to start our topic for this term, which is called 'Peace'.  Take a look at some of the photos we took on our 'celebrating our learning' page.  

In guided reading, we have started reading 'Private Peaceful' by Michael Morpurgo.  We can't wait to read chapter 2 next week!
